Was thinking of having the dealer do a full look over the bike after I bought it just to let me know what else might be an issue when I take it in for the 5K service.
Some of the '05 models had valve guide seal problems which leads to oil consumption.
If your not handy with a wrench,then might well have the 5K service done.
I'm with those who recommend an indie to look it over. He doesnt have a vested interest in the outcome of his findings and is more likely to be more forthright on any issues
A dealer will run your vin to see if it had any warranty issues addressed
IMHO I'd go for the 10,000 service; more in depth IMHO plus two new tires w/rimstrips and tubes.
