05 Road King engine noises
K, so I recently purchased an 05 Road King completely set up. Its an absolutly beautiful bike. Any way it has a 98" big bore kit installed before my ownership of it. After two days of riding im getting a hammering on wood sound thats pretty loud in the front cylinder plus when i shut off the engine on the last stroke it makes a metal to metal squeak what the f&@# is going on? Oh also it makes a tap sound like a rock hitting the fender when im in a hi gear at low speed and i roll on the throttle... can some one help?

I had similar sounds on my '99 RK. Of course I was thinking the worst! Did some reasearch, thought I would check and see if the primary compensator sprocket nut had come loose. Sure enought that was it. Torqued it up and the noises are gone. Took me about three hours as you have to remove the floorboards and the primary cover.
By the was to do this you need a 1-1/2" socket and a torque wrench that goes higher than 165 ft. lbs.
