I’ve read all the CVO Speaker box threads I could find. I’ve PMed a few members, but still have to ask. Has anyone used the CVO Speaker grills with Rockford Fosgate T165 or similar Rockford Fosgate speakers successfully? I managed to trim the Rockford speaker grills down to fit, but I just don’t like the look. I just don’t want to shell out nearly $70 for speaker grills only to find out they don’t or won’t work. Sure would appreciate anyone’s experience in this endeavor.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I shouldn't have limited my question to just the Rockford Fosgate T165 speakers as they're the newer version of an older model that others may have used. Pit1600, you're one of the members who responded to my PM and I truly appreciate that response and photo. I just hate to plunk down the dollars to Harley for speaker grills that "might" work.
I have given some thought to trying to find a 4ohm 6.5" woofer / loud speaker for the fairing lowers as Harley seems to use that on their CVO package. I'm locked into 4 ohm speakers due to my Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4.
Honestly, the system rocks as is, I'd just really like to clean the lowers installation up with some better speaker covers than the Rockford Fosgate grills I cut down.
