Default Air baffle does NOT fit 2011 Street Glide?

Part # 58520-79B

Since it was only $41.18 shipped from Surdyke, I thought I'd try the painted (black) air baffle to see if it helped with our Scala G4 comm. system at 75mph.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. It DOES have pre-drilled holes. Don't even ask how I finally found them...please don't.

I would erase this thread if I could.

I'd be surprised if it helped your situation, I really don't notice a difference whether it's on or off.
BTW they are supposed to be removed when temps are above 70 or 75 degrees...

Where have you seen that they are to be removed above 70 - 75,I have one on all year round in Florida and it does help me with the wind.

My 05 Ultra service manual...I'm at work now but when I get home I'll check the section and page number...

and that's degrees, not mph before somebody asks!
I'll edit my original post...

Yes, the service manual says it's removal helps to evacuate hot air from around the heads.

I leave mine on all the time....without it I get a blast of buffeting air right in my face.

I have a 2011 SG and mine has the holes. I put one on mine a couple of months ago. Seemed like it helped some. Then I added the hog wings and that took care of the buffeting.

I got the black painted one, it's actually more expensive. The hotter running (perhaps why) 110ci SVO SG comes with it standard, there is nothing about it in our manuals that I know of. We also have standard oil coolers (103 power pack for me).

Do you have to remove the 2 outer bolts or did you have 3 holes, threaded and unoccupied?

Did you guys ever wonder why Harley quit putting them on Batwing bikes?

I've had one since 2008 but didn't really see it do anything, so I didn't put it on my new bike last summer.
