I've had one since 2008 but didn't really see it do anything, so I didn't put it on my new bike last summer.
Yes, so they could make more money selling them separately

Since it was only $41.18 shipped from Surdyke, I thought I'd try the painted (black) air baffle to see if it helped with our Scala G4 comm. system at 75mph.

I never thought to check, but on the SG, there aren't any holes pre-drilled!

I'm not sure if the two bolts in that area will line up with the holes in the baffle, I will check by this weekend. I was surprised since my friend's '11 SG CVO comes with a chrome baffle. I never checked his mounting.

I guess I just "assumed".
Going by the price of $40 plus dollars I think you may of bought the Fork Bracket Cover

Instead of the Front Fork Air Baffle which are priced around $25.

You guys make me laugh....................you need some more Hater Koolaide?
Think for yourselves man.

Harley use to advise people to take them off when it got warm out.
Of course people wouldn't, so they just quit putting them on in the first place.

It comes STANDARD on the 110ci CVO Street Glide. They run hotter than 103s already. Nothing wrong with adding it. Unless that is why my friend's CVO is usually 20 degrees hotter than mine (oil temp).

MSRP is $42.72. Yours was either used, aftermarket, a takeoff or before a huge price increase. There are not even on eBay. And since when did Harley sell painted parts for $10? We all know what "HD" stands for....

My 10 RGC didn't have the holes either, the dealership drilled and tapped them under warranty. I remove the baffle during the summer months.
