Default Road Glide 40 mph wobble fixed

When I had my '11 RGU in for it's 20K maintenance, I told them about the 40 mph wobble (and mentioned there was a tsb about it; thank you RoadGlide.org!), and they said they'd look into it. The tech said the steering neck was a little loose, so he tightened it to spec and the problem is gone! Let's hope it stays this way ....

I'll bet it doesn't. Mine is looser now then before we tightened it.

Is the update for all RG's or just the newer models? Can you tell us the spec and I will make the note in my manual? Thanks

Sorry to get off topic but wish this had something to do with cupping on 09 and up cupping. Also wish it was my bike I was worried about but my riding buddy's.

I also just replaced the original front tire at 20K; the tire didn't show any signs of cupping. I kept 38 psi in the tire at all times, and I think that helped ...

I have had mine in 5 times with adjustments to steering head. If we all got together, a class action might be the way to go. We pay alot of money for these bikes. this wobble is unacceptable. if interested anyone can contact me at rm1078@aol.com

hey, here's an idea. get a manual and learn how to adjust it yourself. i suppose you want to get a class action suit together as well for those damn brake pads that keep wearing out.
