Default How do I fix my paint issue?

Had to pick up a box on my way home from work. Bungee corded the thing on the back seat and proceeded to run home about half hour. Took it off and the box had rubbed on the bag and left marks that don't wipe off. I think it's scuffed up pretty good. I was gonna use some wax to try and get it out but thought I'd ask you experts first. What's the best way to fix this?

I'd try wax first. If that doesn't work, Try a good quality scratch remover, I think Scratch-X is the one I usually use. can't remember which one is the best though

ScratchX 2.0 and lots of elbow grease.

Or a DA buffer.

Pix of the damage would help in a diagnosis of the scratch and best way to fix.

If the Scratch X doesnt work, stop by the detail shop at a good car dealership and talk to the detail guys. Theyve worked on so many things like this and might fix ya up with some compound.

Years ago I worked at a detail shop and had stuff like this drop in quite a bit. They'd probably hit it with some compound and a high speed buffer for free and be delighted when you slip the guy a little beer money.

Being a bit south of you and a painter by trade, I'd clean that up for ya if you want to shoot down this way...?
From what I see from here, simple fix with the right tools & compound...

This is exactly what happened it me. Had a pretty good bunch of scratches in my front fender. Took it in expecting to pay for it. They said no problem, had it all buffed out in about 20 minutes. Didn't even charge me anything. Looked brand new when they were done.

Make sure it's a good car detailing shop.
