GPS Question

I have a Zumo, but those Nuvi's should work fine. Just have something to cover them in case you get in a downpour. The Aux port on the front of the HKs is fragile. By that I mean that after a few repetitions of plugging and unplugging your plug in the front jack, the solder points holding the aux jack on the mother board will fail. So minimize the times you plug-in an remove the plug from the front Aux jack. Better to go with a mod that puts the jack in the rear of the HK.

Zumo is not cheap because it is motorcycle rated for vibration etc, and waterproof. The Zumo 660 will play through your Harmon Kardon, it is a Bluetooth that will allow you to use your cell phone through the headset. It has a built in MP3 player as well as a port for a MicroSD card that all plays through the HK. It comes with a mount so it can be used in any car, and when it is installed with the fairing mount on a dresser, it looks like it is standard equipment. In fact, it is standard equipment on the new CVO Ultra.

Having owned Nuvi and Zumo...if I had to replace my GPS (a Zumo).....I could buy four Nuvis for the price of a Zumo. Since my NOW Zumo hardly wants to plays MP3s anyway...
a Nuvi to me sounds like a good choice.
I have used a NUVI before...on an ATV, a sportster and then on my Fatboy. I still have it, although the map is out of date, it still works fine. Like I said, for the price of a Zumo.....you can buy three NUVIs as a spare.
Just a thought.
