TTS; everything said above plus it'll recalibrate the speedo for gear & tire size changes.

The new SEPST has an auto tune feature now and the Power Vision gets great reviews but I have no experience with one.

Bottom line is find a tuner(s) (guy who does dyno's)in your area and talk to them and ask them what they use and then maybe guys that you know who use the tuners.
Not all tuners are the same..
The tuner who you choose use should dictate what tuner/module you use.

If you go w/an auto tuner then that is another kettle of fish.

I just purchased the Power Vision from Fuel Moto. It is a flash based tuner which is really nice. It's more money then the Power Commander but it is also more powerful. I've had it about 2 weeks so I'm kind of new to it.

The power vision has the ability to record all the ECM channels to a file and then you can send the file to Fuel Moto to take a look. That's right where I'm at.

The best tuner is the one that your or your mechanic is most experienced in using.

In general there are 3 types
1. Fuel only piggy back tuners , these add or remove fuel to improve performance but IMO are an incomplete way to tune. Fuel Pak, DFO, Cobra.....
2. Piggy back units like Power Commander III or V these allow a complete tune , fuel and timing and front and rear cyl , can be used with a canned MAP or aor a custom tune on a dyno. They also have "auto tuning" ability. IMO down side is it is another unit that stays on the bike
3. Flash Tuners, the SEPST, TTS, Power Vision, Direct Link , these all allow a complete tune, flash the ECM and are removed allow diagnostics to be rune, self tune, canned MAP or custom MAP, IMO this is the way to go.

Ive used the Fuel Pak, The PC III, PCV , SERT and now the Power Vision . They all worked better than the HD Download IMO, but I like the Power Vision best , it is the easiest for me.

Call jamie at Fuel Moto he will steer you in the right direction

Pretty much agree 100% except you didnt mention dumping the H-D ECM for something like the Thundermax ECM (or similar product)

I went with Thundermax with auto tune. This is my second install with two differnt bikes and have been very satisfiied both times. No need for a dyno to get great perfomance.

I went with the Thundermax from Fuel Moto. Tuning was dead on, plus I can always update it when I do cams and stuff

I have a Revolution Performance EMS. Great system and works very well. I have some pretty heavy mods done to my bike and it runs flawlessly. Lots of great options though.
