Default Anyone running SE 211 cams in a stock 103?

Is anyone running SE 211 cams in a stock 103 and how is the performance? Any down sides?

211need compression to make power also they are a mid to top end cam not much good for a touring bike

The newer 103s have slightly higher compression I hope se211 will work better in them, I really like the way 211 sounds

The 14's have 10 to 1 and the earlier all have 9.6 to 1. These would work ok. As others say they would be better with more compression. That is true for just about any cam designed for the 103. The only cams that wouldn't like the compression would be the 255 or the stock cam. Too efficient down low and too much compression at start. Didn't say it wouldn't work, just not suited for it. There are lots of cams that would suit you better than the SE211 as it is very high on duration and and barely more lift than stock (.010" more) at .498 for stock and .508" for 211. You can always change to the lower gear like a 30 tooth sprocket or what ever it takes for your bike and not do the compression and it will have good low end torque with high duration cams to a point.
