Default Road King Saddle bag bars

My 05 King has the saddle bag guards on it but the front loop hits my girlfriends legs and are not comfortable. I see pics of kings with just a bar that goes from the bar under the bags straight to the frame low point. I have looked and looked and call the dealer but cant find anything. Are they custom made or can I buy them?

First off, since the bars are mounted to the bike, and therefore not moveable, but your girlfriend's legs DO move, I'd suggest that it's her legs hitting the bars, not the other way around.

Smart-assed-ness aside, you can find EXACTLY what you're looking for at J & P Cycles (jpcycles.com). Hell, they'll even send you a humongous catalog for free!

You can go with a Street Glide style set-up that eliminates bag guard all together and simply has a rail underneath for the bag to sit on....or you could go with harley's comfort profile saddlebag guard rail. Contoured for her pleasure

I had a similar problem and went this route.

I thought about the low profile guard rail others listed, but worried that it might not solve the problem. It didn't hurt that the rail I posted was less expensive than the low profile rail. My only complaint is I miss my guard rail bags.

I cut mine, welded a piece of an old side stand in the open tube and had them powdercoated..... you can barely see 'em.........

The HD low profile ones posted above do the trick and they also protect your bags as well as the original ones if you drop the bike.

Have you tried raising the foot board mount? That made my wife happy and more comfortable.
