Rush true duals. Made my stage 4 bike a pig out of the hole. Never again.

Saddleman Dominator Solo. Like riding on a brick. Logged about 5k miles and it never let up. Sold it for 180 bucks.

 

HD XM/Sirius module for the Harmon Kardon head unit. Thing was something like $300 bucks on EBAY, if you buy it new it's $500! Had to buy some special harness for $100 on top of that. Add the cost of the subscription and you end up with lousy reception and lousy sound quality.

The crappy sound quality turned me off of XM/sirus as well. I never renewed it because of that. If they can stream 1080 and 4K TV from space, then why can't they improve sound quality of satellite music?

J&M fairing speakers. Went loud as hell but the sound quality was poo.

yep speaker upgrade that sucked been there done it twice.head unit that sucked done it twice, hu stereo adapter that sucked.(finally went with just amp and speakers from biketronics-- life time warrenty and have used it!!)

seriousxm yep sucked in a few ways some issues might be fixable... moved it to the car....life time subscription bought in '00, never bought the HD hardware..

on the fly adjustable back rest. still have it ,dont like the look of the switch i never use and cost more...

engine performance upgrades can really be a pain in the *** ,some days i regret it some days i dont.

worst upgrade?? bought a house in one of those fancy neighborhoods.....lol

 

I guess I will have to post again after reading these posts it jarred my memory. Satellite radio was a huge wasted effort on my 09. I was wondering if they had fixed that on the newer models but from reading these posts I guess not.

Worst Upgrade:

Far above all others is Wife # 2 (cheating wife divorce was more costly $$$ than J&M Speakers ! ...can you say PRENUP ?

Best upgrade (bang for buck) had to be stainless brake lines on my FXR (100% improvement in braking action and feel)...

And the V&H FP3 tuner to my FLHTK with V&H Power duals to help with detonation and heat issues. Tuning via my iPhone !

 

Over 40 years on Harleys,,, By far the WORST is the HD temp/level Dipstick, Bought 2, 1 for the '05 & 1 for the '09 $300 total,,, neither worked for a year,,, Got clipped good on that one...
