Long trips on a Street Glide
#51
2009 Street glide, the stock seat almost broke my girlfriend in two! she refused to go any further than a 30min ride before getting off. I bought a Mustang solo and the 13.5" pillion pad for her and she loves it! well worth the $ and keeps us riding! oh the KW 8.5" made a world of difference also, even at 70M/hr not enough buffering to worry me or her.

My 07 has killed me from day 1 and I haven't a clue what is making my hands go numb and small of my neck ache. I am 6'1"
I had a RK previously I could ride all day and get gas only no issues. Only difference was full windshield, Corbin seat, heritage bars
This SG has Khromewerks bars, Sundowner, and a shorty windshield maybe 6", not sure, a HD part?
Maybe this is just a case of the wind constantly pushing me that I didn't have with the RK. The ride is good on the SG because I switched to 13" rear shocks and changed the oil and a little heavier front shock oil.
Don't know what the issue is?
Was thinking about a taller windshield. to start

3500 miles from San Diego to Sturgis and back. Had Danny Grey recover stock seat with buffalo and it is very comfortable, hide is thick. Wild Ones 575 bars and a 6.5 vstream. Before this years trip adding a 8.5 KW windshield, hd premium ride front end and added ohlins. But that is a solo setup, for you, I would make sure the wife is comfortable, the stock seat won't cut it, hammock looks very nice.
