Seems like with the right Service Manager the Service Department could be more profitable than Sales.
I know its the fault of the owners. They will step over dollars to pick up dimes. With a good Service Staff
there should be no Seasonal down time, or the need to pay lazy *** techs a Salary. If a Certified Tech is paid flat rate (commission), and the bike goes out with only 1/2 the job done it comes back to him to finish the job properly and that will cut into his paycheck. Its not uncommon for a dealer Tech to turn 90hrs in a 40 hour or less work week.

Its just a bass ackward concept dealers have of service.
