Another vote for the Corbin Dual Tourer. I'm 6'3" 235 and the OL is 5'10" 160. Seat is firm, but great support for long rides.

Russell Day Long seat gets my vote for the best seat out there.

It's not cheap, but you have to decide what "break the bank" means to you.

The base price of mine was $605 plus $90 for heavy duty front and back (I'm 325 lbs and my wife is 200 lbs).

You have to send them pictures of you and your SO sitting on the bike and give them your height/weight info and tell them what changes you are looking for.

They make the seat to your specifications; it's not just an off the shelf seat.

I got a note with mine saying I needed 500/1000 miles to break in the seat, but the first time I rode on it, it was already the most comfortable seat I've been on.

I'm in the market for a good seat too. Check out the Le Pera. A friend of mine has purchased two seats from them and highly recommends them. Several different sizes and styles to choose from.

Yeah, they're fine if you like sitting on a covered brick!!
Hardest damn seat I've ever had the regret of sitting on,
even for 1 short ride or about 35 miles.
Never again.

Sundowner is a great seat, I had one on my Sporty. I rode the crap out of it and it was comfortable on even very long days.

On my RKC, I have a TallBoy, which is essentially a Sundowner that is pushed back 2 inches to accommodate my long legs. I'm only 6'2" (and 215) but have a 35 inch inseam (my height is in my legs). I have done long days on it also, including a weeklong tour and I was comfortable throughout.

I have had Corbin, Lepara, and Mustang. The Mustang is by far the best I have had.

Ive been told if you order the seat right from Mustang and you dont like it you can return it for a full refund. But you have to call them directly.

I really liked my sundowner when I had my Fatboy, sold it last year and went to the 2012 street Glide with HD hammock seat. Both are great seats; the hammock gets my vote when going on rides that will take more than a hour. Tough to explain, but the hammock is "firmer" and when you first get on the bike may seem a little "stiff", whereas the sundowner was comfortable the minute you get on it. One down side about the hammock is it's "wide" in the crotch area (when at a stop, it feels like it's spreading your legs out to the sides of the bike-this goes away once your feet are up in the riding position or on the highway pegs). A bonus goes to the sundowner for having lower back support. As said earlier, find a dealer that will allow you to test ride seats, it's really the best way to know what you and "mamma" will like. Keep us posted, and good luck.

6'1" 270 lbs... Mustang was installed at 1000 miles, put 65000 miles on it and thought it was great until i bought a Sundowner and WOW the rider part is to me a lot better... now for the Passenger, the Mustang is better because it's bigger size but my wife still likes the Sundowner....I say if you get either... you do good. i got a circulator pad and crank it up a notch....
