Default My New Ride

I know this post does not belong here, but as I spend all my time on HDForums in the Touring Section, I thought I'd share. Plus it's got two wheels!

With the Tour De France going on and the London Olympics around the corner, all this athletic activity inspired me to try to shed some weight. Heck, my Road King will probably thank me in the end!

So, I went out and bought myself a 2012 Carbon Fiber Trek Madone 4.5!

Congrats...at least you won't need to dump a ton of money for mods on that 2-wheeler...

That's dirt cheap for a fully outfitted carbon fiber road bike. Ask the OP what a Trek Madone 6.5 costs.

Any two wheels brother! I love it. I've got a Moots VaMoots outfitted with Record.

I'd hate to say it, but it'd be a hard decision if I had to choose between my bikes.

Not me, too lazy to peddle a bike.

Yeah, I used to think that was crazy too. Until I bought a $500 TREK that had a crappy derailleur and shifter, and a chain that rusted after after a couple of months.

When I retire and have time to ride, I am going to do some research and buy a bike that doesn't suck. Like my 1970 10 speed Peugeot which cost $126.

I dunno; I think havin' a fancy, expensive bicycle is kinda, well, GAY! Goes with the spandex shorts.

My 18 speed cost me $5 at a yard sale, I hadda rebuild it, and it's been great all these years.

The last thing I peddled was a unicycle......then I got a drivers license. Years later I tried a mountain bike and discovered it made my crotch sore and required strenuous behavior........I've got a nice recumbent exerciser bike now....it sits quietly in the basement and doesn't bother anybody!!!!
