They are better, but with no amp it's not going to be a miracle fix. That said it will be a noticeable improvement.

Their speakers are good, but his amps are a bit under powered for the money you spend, I have a 2 channel x 40 amp and the 5x7 speakers.

i have them on mine & they suck, i'm replacing them with a set of Pioneer TS-A1684R . i also have these same speakers in my Vette & they rock so they should work well on the bike.

I have them on my SG and I only noticed a difference while sitting in my garage and it is minimal. Save your money and buy something chromed...

You can do better. Go to biketronics.com & get a pair of 6.5" Titan II. Get the ARC Mini 125.2 amp & you'll be good. Hogtunes was my very 1st upgrade in 09, and I'll never go back to them --- there's so much that's better, out there.

Just installed a set, speakers only, on my RG. Very noticeable difference in volume and clarity. Compared to why I have been listening to over the last 3 years, the difference is big enough that I don't see myself adding an amp.

I've done alot of research on this too. Probably going to go with the Hogtunes REV 2 KIT NCA-70.2 AMP and the 5.25" speakers for my 09 Street Glide

The install seems pretty straight forward.

They're better than stock, but then again, what isn't?
They're awful heavy for the fairing too.
Kickers are better, and much lighter weight and easier on your fairing.
