Default Help me understand ABS brake lines

I want to put taller bars on my 2012 FLHTP. I have ABS and will need a 4-6" longer brake line. I heard that I could simply replace the "upper" line, but then I heard that there was a "mid" line that also needed to be replaced. Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks!

I just done my 2011 ultra has abs , stock line goes master to abs module one piece the new lines you will need are mid line which goes abs module to triple trees and then your top line which goes from the mid line to master

So I do need a mid line? Therefore two lines?

You only need the line from the master cylinder to the ABS module. Upper Line only

It depends on supplier i used magnum they use a 2 piece line if you ever change bars again bigger apes for instance you only have to order upper line than much cheaper later

I am confused & it seems like some posters are saying different things. When I did mine all I needed was the upper line that goes from the master cylinder to the manifold (splitter under the triple tree).

Does yours have ABS? On ABS bikes the lines go from the master cylinder to the ABS module, then to the spliter under the triple tree, then down to the calipers.
