2011 Ultra Limited. D407 rear changed at 20,000. D408 front still going at 24,000 (I'd estimate it's going to go to near 40,000 before I change it).

 

Ref '09 and up Touring bikes with Dunlop tires: On the rear you'll get close to 20k if you're not a hot-rodder and close to 30k on the front. I've done this several times so I know...

17000 each on two different D407's Rear. 35000 and still going on the original front. Had to go to the American Elite on the reat this time. Could not get a D407 for the rear the last time. Hope it is as good.

 

I have 14,600 miles on mine. Front still looks great. Rear has quite a bit of tread depth left, but is worn very flat (not many curves in that 14k miles). I figure I'll get the 15k service done, and replace at least the rear tire in a couple of weeks after that. May replace front as well if I can get a good enough deal for cost + mounting and balancing since I will be switching to Commander II tires from the stock Dunlops.

From my experience, habitual fast starts will wear a rear tire much more quickly. I see by the posts quite a bit of difference between front and rear with some riders. I used to get around 10k on the rear of my Deuce but the front was usually shot before that. But it was a narrow 21x90.

 

The Dunlop American Elites give excellent mileage and they're cheaper than the D407/D408's that come from the factory. I get right at 20k for the rear and high 20's for the front, but usually at that the front still has some tread but starts to cup so I'll change it out once the cupping gets too bad. If it weren't for the cupping those fronts would have broken 30k I bet.

 

Almost 14,000 on mine. I could have probably got more, but it is the only thing keeping me attached to the road. Changed them both at the same time. I just did not want to have to deal with it in Cody, or Rapid City, or Missoula, or where ever.
