You need to mod the radio rack inside of your fairing before the radio rack mount wears through the fairing. Look at the second picture you posted with the rats nest. Look up at the top of the fairing, just below the windshield level, you will see two verticle wear marks. This is where the radio rack is rubbing against the inside of the fairing. You need to file the corner points off the radio rack that are making contact with the fairing before they actually cut all the way through.
Also, you can clean up the headlight of the shark nose by removing the clear plastic bubble and installing a late 2000bezzle ring that fits around the headlights. It clips into the fairing the same way the bubble does. You can buy it in gloss black that would match your bike. Looks much better and your headlights will light up the road a little better without having to shine through the hazed bubble.

Great looking bike.

How do you like that jack? Any issues working on the engine area when needed? Repossition to the right side for Primary /clutch work i suppose.

I'm thinking about getting a lift table.

Adding to the Rat remedies, I've been told that they don't like mothballs either, friends put them in an old nylon and hang them from their vehicles in the barn.

How do they tell if they are male or female?
