Well Doodes and Doodettes. Bikers, Riders, Cyclists, Posers and Hosers too. I just installed Ragan Fab Works fairing support repair kit and it functions as advertised. Fairing is tight and right once more. Not a creak one! I did both the upper and lower (speaker) braces. I highly recommend them.
Only had one issue upon installation. I had to use my old early style speaker braces which I'm glad I saved. I had recently replaced the broken speaker braces with an updated brace from HD. Ragan Fabs lower piece would not match up with the updated piece. It's hard to say now which speaker brace would be the strongest, longest lasting piece. I'm still good with how it worked out. At least my speaker brackets now have a lifetime warranty too! I'm likely to be selling my updated and slightly used speaker supports soon.

I did Bagger parts for the fairing.

I did these from Chopperdan on ebay for the speakers.
He has whole kits too that include them both.

Oh and I did these prior to actual breaking.
Thought it better to be pro-active than re-active.

lionsm, this full four piece kit came from Chopperdan. I found his website and procured both sets for a discount that's very close to the price for the bagger parts two piece set. I'm happy with the results. I'm experiencing so much less vibration in my fairing now, I can hardly believe what I've been missing by putting it off for so long. My top mains were broken, but the updated speaker brackets were still in tact.

Just finished fixing mine, all four brackets were broken. I spent a couple bucks on L brackets from Home Depot to fix the vertical brackets. The horizontal brackets were 9 bucks a piece so I just replaced them. It just chaps my *** that this is such a common problem and HD has done nothing to fix it.

Yep, Dan has some good prices on the Ragan parts. I think that they are one and the same. I bought the ones from Baggerparts before I knew that the Ragan existed.
I would bolster up the speakers though too.

I've been checking my brackets everytime I have the batwing off and today I hit the jackpot. Both brackets on one side broken (2009flhx).
Ordered the kit, I would guess I should just go ahead and do both sides?

I also did the bagger parts kit. It has held up well and I only had one broken.

Took a few minutes to install it and now I don't have a rattle. Much better than replacing the whole bracket just for that little piece.
