Bars to reduce lower back pain
OK, so I have a 2010 Road King with Heritage Style bars and a Sundowner seat. It seems that this combination causes a riding position for me where I slouch enough to make my lower back sore. I am willing to change bars to something that makes me sit up more straight and keep my back from getting fatigued. I am thinking that some form of apes will force me to sit up straight. I am looking for advice on this and also would be interested in what you all think about the WO508 or 518 beach style bars too. Thank you for any information.

I put the Wild1 575 bars on, (pulls back some), better seat, (Mustang Wide touring with back rest) and angled highway pegs. Put foot board extenders 3/4" and with the pegs I can move my feet around, change my back angle and the amount of support and where the backrest supports the back. Pegs also make it cooler for me sitting on the 103" heat machine.

Softail Heritage Bars will help allot!
I went with the 09-11 Softail Heritage Bars that are shown in my signature pic. The HD Part number is listed in my signature as well. My brother & brother in law both have backrests & love them but personally I've had them & didn't like them. I know, I'm not the norm as most riders that have them love them. Attached is a pic of the "Heritage style bars" VS Softail Heritage Bars. The Softail Heritage Bars will require modification (Easy job) for the TBW but otherwise are a great deal for around $60 for mini apes & are very comfortable IMO. Good luck with your decision.
