Thanks all for the suggestions. I will try the backrest route. I do recall reading somewhere that someone in the aftermarket already makes the softail heritage bars that are ready for the TBW. Anyone seen that info?

Possibly the 2012 model if they went to the TBW. IDK but worth checking into. I sat on a 2011 Softail Heritage & that's what sold me on them. My brother in law went with 14" Chubbys & that's a nice set of bars too but kinda spendy...

Strengthen your core and you can use any bars you want, you'll get much less tired as well.

The Khromewerks 300044 are very similar to the Heritage bars, andTBW ready. They are made to be wired internally. if you run the wiring outside, you'll need plastic ties.

Depending on your height, I would switch to ape hangers. 1 of the best MODs I did on mine. Got rid of back, shoulder and hand pain. A back rest might help some but you will still be reaching for the bars. With ape you can roll them back or forward to find your sweet spot.

Yours looks nice in the sig picture. I might not go as high as 16s; maybe 14s.

Try a backrest first, it will solve your back issues. I can not ride 20 minutes without one before my back is killing me.
A Mustang backreat should work with your stock seat. http://www.mustangseats.com/Category...-Backrest-Kits
