Have You Skidded or Tumbled after falling off

Went down 2 months ago and was all tumble. Locked up brakes and was thrown from bike in seated position off right side. Landed head first (with helmet obviously since I'm alive to talk about it) and rolled on head and bottom. Was going about 50 when it all started. Had leather chaps on and long sleeve t shirt. Shirt had few tears in sleeves and bottom. Chaps had one small hole at knee. Only injury I had was a sore back and road rash. WEAR your helmet. Mine was just a cheap 50 buck DOT model half helmet so that proves they serve their purpose. The helmet was scratched but not cracked.

When I went down, the bike slid out from under us in a curve when the primary got on the ground.. running about 30. I saw the guard rail comimg up and new we didn't need to still be on the bike when it hit, so I stabbed my left foot on the pavement and pulled myself and my wife off the bike. I slid on my left side, she kind of slid/ almost tumbled on her left knee and side of her helmet. Only good part of it was..... I have the pics to see exactly what happened...... now, getting them to here...... still trying to figure out how.

Just so happened that somebody was there taking pics of his friend going through on a crotch rocket.... trying to get some action pics to put his name out there to start photography studio...... he started snapping as we got into the curve and kept on till we came to a stop..... guess he got some good ones huh? LOL
That's also the same set of pics where I got my avatar pic from about 15 feet before the sliding incident

+1 on the pantyhose! I started wearing them for skiing - thin, comfortable insulation. You have to cut the crotch patch out so you don't cramp your junk and have "access" to pee, etc., but they work great.
I like the interesting/funny looks I get when people see this big burly bastard buying Plus Size women's pantyhose. Doesn't bother me - I'm secure with my sexuality. I usually smile & wink at 'em!
StreetGlidinFreak, how did your jeans handle the fall? Were you guys wearing leather jackets or armored jackets, etc.??

About 20 years ago heading to a large county park in Central Cali going to fast around a large curve that I should have known better I went down. My brother riding behind me watched it all and gave me a play by play.
Turning the corner to fast and wide hit the center divider and went down, myself and bike both tumbled across the divider and slid on the opposite side of the road. Lucky me it was mid-morning so no oncoming traffic or I wouldn't be here to write this up. Had only Levi's on and slid on my back pocket. Fortunately had a pistol in back pocket that took saved my **** from the pavement. How it didn't go off is a mystery to this day cause the gun was rubbed raw from pavement and was actually hot. Know this cause my bro ran across the street to grab my gun first before checking on me. He's got his priorities right
Anyway I only ride with Levi's, have chaps but only worn when really cold or wet and only on long trips as I usually forget to pack them otherwise. I feel that if I go down clothing is the least of my worries, I'm more concerned about my nugget as I'm to hard-headed to wear anything other than a skid lid which won't do me any good when the time comes that I'll need it. Looking back on my story above that was long before Cali had their helmet required law. Damn that was quite a while back
