Or is it the sensor that has multiple pick-ups and just a single magnetic lug in the bearing?

I'm interested just for general information as to how many data points the sensor reads per wheel revolution.
I lost count, will say there is at least 60 magnets there, they're real small ant the tool designed for mercedes doesn't work as good on the harley brg. I did get a pattern but it was a little blurred compared to the benz seals

Ok thanks. The reason I asked is because of the slow response I've noticed with my ABS. The only time I've ever had my ABS activate is over bumps in the road where I feel the ABS was a detriment, and the brakes seem to stay released way too long. Anyway, I was wondering if the system compromised the number of data points per revolution in HD's attempt to make the ABS as aesthetically inconspicuous as they could. With 60 data points per revolution I don't think that's the case. Thanks again.

So...I can use ABS-style wheels/bearings in a non-ABS application (2009 Street Glide w/o ABS) with no changes?

Or, do I need to replace the outer ABS bearing with a standard non-ABS spacer?

Don't mean to nit-pick but I want to get it right. Thanks.

You're right. It doesn't work as well as a toothed tone ring so the ABS isn't updated as rapidly as other MC abs systems from Japan or Germany. That's the price of asthetics.

you are not nit-picking it's very important to get it right.

DO NOT use an ABS bearing with non-ABS wheel spacer! they are too wide. buy the non-ABS bearing.

Is there a favorite type of puller/seater you guys recommend for changing wheel bearings?

And....are there any alternatives to the wheel bearings sold by HD? or said a different way...Does the ABS bearing requirement for ABS bikes limit us to HD OEM bearings?
