Default New voltage regulator

Took my 12 Ultra Limited in today for the 1000 mile service. The service guy told me he went ahead and did the vr recall. Recall? He said they are replacing them as the bikes come in with a new (redesigned) vr before the old ones fail.

When did they upgrade it to a Recall...last memo from Dawg said it was a campaign?

I just took mine in for 1000 mile service also. My VIN is within the range to check the manufacture date of the VR but the date on it was not part of the campaign they are replacing.

He said it wasn't officially a recall.

Had mine in for the VR change yesterday and the Service Tech actually joked with me about the MOCO refusing to refer to the campaign as a "recall."

Bare with my my friends. I'm sitting here with my manual, a couple hand drawn schematics and I'm still not real sure how to hook up this voltage regulator in my 71 XLH 1000. It looks like there are 3 wires coming out of the side and they are red, green and black. Can you guide me please?
Thanx

I checked mine #1712. I'm good. However, I just got my SG back from dealer after having a faulty speedo. Will be curious to see if more have the same problem.
