Quick Detach lower fairing Kit for EGlide Goodies
I just got my Quick Detach lower fairing kit made by Rivco. The kit is supposed to attach securely and allow you to take your lowers on and off within minutes without tools. My question is; who else has this kit and do they attach securely, (no rattling etc.) and do they work as advertised? I'm not really sure why I ordered them, (other than I had the itch to buy something, and I really really love the look and practicality of my vented lowers on my SG. Now that I've had them on for a while I'm really not thinking about removing them for any reason in any season, still I do have this kit and if they can go on and off as easily as advertised and mount as tightly as the stock mounts, why not? Anyone?
Thanks

I have the kit on my 02. These lowers aren't vented like yours, but, the kit works awesome. They do not rattle, or move, or do anything that the stock mounts didn't do. They are very secure when mounted and a breeze to remove if the need arises. I didn't think I would talk the lowers off at all, but, I went from a GoldWing to this 02 Ultra. Air cooled vs. water cooled is no comparrison so off come the lowers in the heat. I took a trip to Atlanta in June just after I got the bike. Having the lowers for the long trip from Mass was great, but, being able to remove the lowers in less than five minutes was better. They stayed in the hotel room until it was time to head back. With the vents the detach kit may not be as needed but it is always nice to have the option. If anything it will make service work much easier being able to remove the lowers quickly and easily. Good luck and if I can help with anything else let me know.
