Over the past 8 years Ive spent anywhere from $ 100 to $1000s with Dr Vtwin, US Motoman, Direct Harley Parts and Phat Performance Parts. Overall Ive had good experience with all of these companies and do refer them to others. I will say that both Dr V Twin and Phat Performance Parts have always been the most personal type service, friendly if you need to call, good follow up.

Some times one or the other can beat the price or has something in stock for a faster delivery so they get my business.

 

Ditto for me with all those companies. I would also add M&M Motorcycles in Ohio to that list- M&M, Dr V Twin, Phat's, and Rebecca at Tri County HD top my list (in no particular order). DHP probably has the best prices of all, and the one purchase I got from them had no issues, but due to other peoples experiences with them, I prefer to look to those other places first.

 

I'd have to agree with that. Dr V Twin is the hardest working bunch of guys- just look at all the time they spend on these forums, which is probably on their own time after they have spent all day working in their shop.

The other thing with them is that when you call to talk to them, they don't rush you along- they take the time to answer all your questions. That's probably another reason the phone lines might be busy from time to time. In my experience, they will always call you back and promptly respond to your emails.

Customer service wise, they're one of the best, IMO.

 

Bummer I was just going to get a quote on some pipes and just found out Dr V-Twin closed their doors

Yep same for me. I got quoted $500 more for some ride wright wheels than what they sell for on ride wright's website. I still haven't pulled the trigger just yet because I'm undecided on which type of wheels I want. When I do decide I'm gonna give them a call and the opportunity to give me their best price. But unlike some folks, I'm gonna do some shopping around before hand and know what the lowest price is instead of just jumping on the first offer from anyone. i know of quite a few folks that speak highly of certain suppliers like they got the best deal possible but really got ripped and didnt even know it and still dont know it. im definitely not gonna be one, at least try not to.
