OP - start with the basic diagnostics. Move the bike around with it off. Check the front and rear wheel bearings. Grab some sockets and start torque-checking all of your nuts. Once that is settled, then go on the road and try to replicate the sounds.

Put it in one higher gear than normal for that RPM range and give it some gas. If its pinging, it will ping loudly.

Let it sit idling with the clutch in and out. Listen for the sounds there too.

Do some research and come back to us.

You sure it wasn't your hot tire picking up tiny stones and bouncing them off the inside of your front fender? I've heard this a million times on my bikes.

OK, I'm an A-Hole. Put the bike on the lift this morning. Checked everything. Found nothing. While it was up, changed the primary fluid and gave it a good once over.
Took a ride down the road I came home on late last night. Someone did asphalt work and left the little pebbles on the road. They stuck to my tire and caused the noise to last about a 1/4 mile. By the time I got to my driveway and checked, there was nothing there.

I really don't have a pinging noise. I am having a rattle sound that sounds like a loose washer or something. I don't think it is motor related at all. My 05 ultra has 127,000 miles on it and just had the cam bearings and stuff done at 120,000. Bike runs like brand new . the rattle just started.

Glad you found it and it wasn't pining. That good!
