Default From Hell to Heaven(it happens) 2010 FLHTK

Just wanted to update,on a 2010 FLHTK,that I bought online in May. Just a little background,on this.Found a 2010 Ultra on e-bay for 12,155,with 10,000 miles on it.so I called this guy about the bike, and he told me how fine it was,and he went on,and on about it.I listened, and thought how lucky I was,so I did the deal, and sense It was in Wisconsin, I sent it to Jamie for a 107 build with a power commander, and super trap duels,no cat.the engine build took the 103 from 66 hp to 106,and from 77 ft pds to 116 on torque,Jamie, and his crew, are first rate, and the head work they do really lets you engine breathe super good, fantastic. The frame was bent, and the transmission case was broken, with the worst aluminum weld I have ever seen.after 3 months, and 3900 dollars,it is the best running, best riding, bike I've ever had the pleasure of riding,it's so fine,,oh by the way it had a salvage title, and I had to have it rebuilt by the Louisiana state police After that I asked our local HD dealership,to give me a trade in price, for a bike I wasn't going to buy,and guess what they said because of the salvage title the bike was just about worthless, ever though rebuilt.Lessons learned again 1.If it sounds to good to be true,it's not true.2. Don't give up,if you don't good thing's will happen Ride safe Bros

A salvage can work out as long as you never calculate resale value- and plan to hold onto the bike forever.

hope you get many happy worry-free ( and safe) miles on her.

At least you got YOURSELF a nice bike. You can forget about ever selling it either.

Glad you are happy but I would be hunting down the seller. Some people do not deserve oxygen.

JesuChristo, Buck - is that English? I can't believe Jamie @ FuelMoto would bend the frame on your bike so badly that the State Police would need to strip it down and rebuild it.

I can understand the bent frame and other damage perhaps not being immediately obvious but didnt the salvage title raise any red flags before funds were exchanged? I dont see how that could have been kept secret. What was EBAYs position on the fraud and misrepresentation? Did they provide any backup. I beleive indication wether there was a clean title is, or was, a required field on vehicle listings.

Yes you are right, but when I took to talking to him be phone,he gave me a better price, thus taking it off e-bay's listed policy, and away from the protection of e-bay,that was one lesson that I should have listed. The title was the first hint that it was a screwed deal, also it was the last thing I got,but it was always on the way.Took too much for granted, payed him too soon, too confident, and to stupid to see what was coming, and to far in to back out.

Where was the frame bent & did you have to replace it or straighten it?
