Default Saddlebag Lid Stowage

I'd be interested in clever ideas for using the space in the saddlebag lids for stowing items. I know that MoCo offers the following lid organizers, but I've read that the sticky tape used for securing them eventually fails. Also, these organizers don't seem to be one of MoCo's better values.

There's one on eBay that replaces the nylon strap. I've had it for 2 years now and works great.

I agree. This is one of the best things I replaced. Why it isn't an item that comes with the bike is beyond me. Good quality also. I think I got them for 26.50 using the "best offer" function. Here is the link:

Otherwise, anything else would prevent me from being able to have a "heaping load". The lid wouldn't close.

When I first went Bagger I tried those and found nothing I had really fit in any of the pockets.
.....and what did fit in the pockets was a Pain in the a** to get in and out.
For small items I bought some (3) clear see through Makeup bags at Walmart to keep small stuff in.

Here's a link to the write-up I did on one last year.
Love this organizer. Works great and holds all my stuff.
Make sure to get the mesh pouch. Works great for your wallet and keys.

I have the Saddleman equivalent. Cant keep the damn things velcro'ed to the lid. The "sticky" just doesnt hold here in the heat. I also quickly discovered that all I was putting in them was junk I didnt need to really carry with me. Great idea but not so much in actual use. Better "mods" to be had with your cash.

I have the Ebay ones, much better than the HD's. Very well made too!
plus, you get the side container pocket included for the one price.
