I have a 2007 RK all stock. I'm putting on this week:
Screaming Eagle Slip ons(has removable baffles which I'm going to lop off a few inches of baffle).
Screaming Eagle and/or similar round intake
Power CommanderIII( just got this used from a member on another site)

All the maps I see for similar setups on the Power Commander website have 02 eliminators. Do I need to get them or can I run those maps even though I don't have the eliminators? And sorry for this newb questions, but are 02 eliminators hardware you install and where can I get them if I need them in order to install the maps?

Can I get maps other places besides the PC site? I would assume the slip ons and intake is a pretty common upgrade and there must be maps out there without the 02 eliminators.

 

You only need the eliminators if your bike currently has o2 sensors installed. The pcv provides the factory ecm with"virtual" o2 readings to force the ecm to ad our subtract fuel from the mixture to achieve the desired results as dictated by the PC map. Basically the eliminators are dummy o2 sensors. Hope that helps.

 

You can also call Jamie at Fuel Moto for more maps even if you didn't buy it from him. He's a keen business owner that knows if he gives something away free, that customer will be back someday to buy from his company.....smart huhh. Also, I'm not sure how the PCIII works but can you pull up maps on a laptop like the PCV and change #s around or is it just a V feature?

 

the o2 eliminators come with the power commander. you should check to see if who you bought it from still has them, and if he isn't using them, to send them on to you. if not, i am sure you can buy them from dynojet. with the pc3, you do need them on your rk.
