Default 09 Road King Classic Boom Audio Speakers

I purchased the windshield mount speakers this weekend and have been reviewing the wiring instructions. The instructions indicate I need a Speak and Amplifier Relay Kit? Did you have to purchase this for your RK? I am a little sketchy on the wiring instructions.

Any advice is appreciated.

yes i used the relay kit as well. you probably should just for good measure. dont let the instructions fool you, it is easy to hook up.

Great, thanks for the quick reply. I will pick one up, pretty excited about having tunes! The weather here in north Georgia is perfect for mountain cruising.

it is pretty nice being able to jam like the fairing boys. but still be able to roll around with no shield at times.

I'm guessing if you get caught in the rain the speakers are designed for that?

Patience does save you some cash. Used J&M's and a new Rock Box for under $450. I have never needed full volume and no issues hearing music when the fairing guys are whining about not hearing theirs due to wind and/or speed.

@tom071200c

Did you remove the handlebar cover and headlight assembly and nacelle as per the road king instructions? I cant tell if you ran the wires into the headlight housing or just down the bars and then around the nacelle?

Did you remove he tank to run the wires?

Thanks.
