Over the years there has been a website floating around here to check recall info. When I go to the HD website they want you to create an account and submit all your personal info. Has something changed or am I am looking in the wrong place? Thanks for any help you are able to provide.

 

This site has the recalls for all Harley's.

Butmif you are looking for more info you will have to create an account. But if you are worried about personal info, nothing says you have to be truthful about the other info you input.

 

The only "Centralized" location for recalls and service bulletins for Harley Davidson products is the Harley Davidson Web site.
And yes, you must create a personal profile to access that part. Harley does not give specific information out to just anyone.

Or you can just wait for someone to post information, like here.
But that may not apply to your specific VIN number.

Or just wait for Harley to mail you the recall notice.
But they will not do so if they don't know you own your specific VIN bike.
You must tell them.

 

Thanks guys, not necessarily worried about creating the account, I just have not had to do that in the past that I recall. I thought maybe there was another link that I wsa not finding.

 

The only used bike I've bought in the Harley line was an 08 UC. It had 5400 miles on it. I called a friend of mine who is a Dealer service manager. He ran the Vin# and told me who bought the bike new, from what Dealer and any recalls it had that was outstanding.
