My 2007 RKC had buffeting from 45mph to 60mph, I tried a taller windshield still buffeted,
tried the re-curve still buffeted but a little less, then I got the re-curve with the vent and
buffeting was alot better, then added the chrome wings to the forks and pretty much
disappeared, my advice get the windshield with the vent you won't regret it.

Test rode a SG this year and the buffeting was horrible. Like a tornadoe shaking me around. What a shame because I really loved the bike but I feared that I may not have been able to tame the buffeting and it would be a expensive experiment buying that bike.

I'm curious, what mods did you try to eliminate the buffeting ?

Sounds like people are test riding SGs with stock shields and half helmets.

Taller shield, FF helmet, no issue whatsoever. Can hear the stock speakers on the highway with earplugs in too.

I had a FF Helmet but stock shield.

If I was a dealer I would invest in a few different size shields like 6,8 and 10 inch shields and a curved one maybe. How much could it cost 400- 600 tops ? You keep them for guys like me to swap out on test rides to make a sale. I really liked the bike but I'm not spending all that money on a buffeting tornado that I may or may not be able to fix.

Road King-Road, as in the open road.
Street Glide-Street, as in around town on the streets.
Congratulations on your upgrade!

Great looking new bike. I have several friends with Street Glides. They have all changed out the windshields. Personally, I think the Road King is a better looking bike anyway.
