so are we questioning that taking air away from an air cooled motor will make it run hotter? you don't have to be the head cashier at the Wal Mart to figure this one out.

Put some floorboard extenders on and that will solve your heat on the leg issues. I'm running the fork & fairing deflectors with 1 1/2" floorboard extenders and I have no issues with heat. Of course I'm also running a Rev Perf EMS which takes care of the stock lean conditions these bikes come with from the factory.

I recently purchased the crotch cooler from Captain Itch, a sponsor here. That has helped a lot with the heat on my thighs. The initial install is a bit of a PITA, but since he is located close to me, I rode to his place, and he did the install. Very nice folks!

HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT. Never saw anyone post about this problem when I decided to put them on the bike. Oh, and yes, I have tried going faster, it did not help.

fairing deflectors and fork deflectors are two different things... your meaning the fork deflectors in your statement?

i've lowers and fairing deflectors.. harley adjustable.. and they do help take the heat away when adjusted.. can't say anything about the fork deflectors or "fangs" as i don't have them.. didn't need them.. the lowers and fairing deflectors with an lrs ultra 8" shield took care of everything for me.

The Rev Perf EMS and floorboard extenders were two of my better mods!

Look man, I AM the head cashier at the WalMart and there's plenty of air left (that's not in the way of the deflectors) to cool the motor. Double-dog duh.
