I have a new klockwerks 6.5 dark tint. Is yours a dark tint? If so I'll trade you since I need a taller one. I'll pay the freight. I need an 8.5 since I'm 6'1"
I read this one hour too late, I just sent it back to Klock werks
Have a number of windshields. I switch them out based on the season. Summer is short - wind in face is very good. Spring/Fall - look through shield on the Ultra so I don't freeze. Hey, its Wisconsin. I have two Windvest shields and one Klockworks and a few no names.
Looks are in the eye of the beholder but from a functional perspective the Windvest is superior to the Klockwerks. The Klock allows air to leak in from the sides - especially in a crosswind. Windvest does a better job of pushing air up and over than the Klock. Just my experience. YMMV.
Maybe "Yer" not to be looking through the shield, but I am. I look through my car's windshield every time I drive it too.
My thoughts exactly. Never have figured where the stupid idea of looking over windshields came from. I look thru mine all the time and have never had a problem. It is tinted light grey and cuts the glare of on coming traffic and night. Kinda of a pain in the *** in the rain, but better than getting blinded by dirt, rocks, etc..LOL
I can see not looking through a recurve but not a tall shield like I got..The pic dosen't show the windshield I got from Clarks.
Love my 6.5" Kw 8.5' is to tall for your height. The thing I like about these types of shields is you get to look over them and not through them. I have hated all the tall regular shields I have owned.
I'm not much on my 8.5 klock works either I'm 6" and it just seems to create too much of a blind spot in front of the bike for me. Tried the 6.5 first but got too much buffeting. Good product just now need to look for a new shield. Anyone else with this problem?
I've had quite a few different shields, around the same height (6.5" or 7") on my bike and I always end up back with the Klock shield. It just does it for me!
