Are There Any Happy Progressive 940 Users?
I just brought a used set of Progressive 940 shocks with 90/130 springs that were swapped for the heavy duty springs that the 940's come with. I have read how so many feel that the 940's are not that great. Am I the only one that thinks the 940's isn't as bad as all have said they are? I'm 230 lbs. and have the 940's installed on a 08 Streetglide.

I am very satisfied with mine. Had them several months and maybe 10-12K on them. A Progressive rep I talked to at a rally said they work best with EG's because of the extra weight of the tourpak. I lowered my bike front and rear upon delivery and after a few months removed the air shocks and sold them. It did take a few trial adjustments of the ****, and after a few hundred miles the ride did improve. You couldn't give me the old air chocks back.
I also figured that if HD couldn't put decent shocks on a $25K bike from the start, I wasn't going to waste any more money on an HD suspension product

I have had mine on for a few hundred miles and found that for 2 up I have to max them out (less a 1/4 turn). They are much, much better than the stock air shocks.
I am happy so far. After a few hundred miles I will decide if I need to contact Progressive to see what can be done to possibly improve the 2 up riding- still bottoms out on occasion. Oddly, my 08 RK with a detachable tourpak and my wife never bottomed out on the stock air shocks. For some reason the Limited seems more inclined to bottom out with a similar load/weight.
