Bike NEEDS to be level when doing the primary... that's a fun angle on the jiffy stand! Plus you need the level to just be touching the spring plate.

A motorcycle jack is a great investment. I have the Sears Aluminum version, but they all work the same. I also have the Harbor Freight lift Table with a black Jack sissor jack and they make my life very easy. Only catch with a lift table is I am old enough, I have my neighbor come over to help walk my Road King on and off. The sportster I do myself. The motorcycle jack, whether a Harbor Freight or other brand only takes a few seconds to use and you do it by yourself.
I purchased the side extensions and I drive up and park on it all the time, I have read that some guys make wooden sides just to drive up on

Either you have the tools to do the job or you don't. A lift, a service manual, some wrenches....

I suppose one could simply fight the process, cuss, throw wrenches, scare the kids and wife, bugger up the screws, nuts and bolts.......

Hey I was looking through Easy Riders the other day and Harbor Freight has a coupon in there for a Motorcycle lift (table as it has been referred to in this thread) Original price is like $600 and you can get it for $299.99! Hell that's a helluva deal, may not be fancy but I'll bet it's better than one of those Sears floor lift that turn your scoot into a very nervous teeter totter!

Sure makes routine things easier in the long run.
A jack can be used for almost anything.
A jack wouldn't take up much space, harbor freight is a bargain...
i agree, worth $100.

You might want to revisit your Service Manual. The 2010 Manual is very specific about the bike being level.
