Cams & heads or 107

No idea. I'm taking off the 4" Rineharts and installing Bub 7's tomorrow. I'll get some new numbers after Autotune dials the pipes in.
Keep in mind, higher compression encourages detonation/pinging. I'm able to control pinging with my current build. In the past, I've gone with higher compression and could not stop pinging.

I tore down my 103 last winter and built a 107 at 10.75 compression, woods tw8 cams. I was starting with a factory 103 at stock (9.6) compression. I wanted to raise compression in some way, and in every case, it involves pulling the heads. (mill the heads for samller chambers, go to higher compression 103 pistons, or going with a 107 build).
Once the heads are off the motor, it's only another 45 minutes or so to swap in new pistons and jugs, so lots of guys figure that's the best time to build a bigger motor. If you were starting from 96, you might have more incentive, but there's still lots of gains to be made by building a 103 out to 107.
