That what I noticed also. The Jackpots are supposed to be fairly tame but without the cat they bark pretty good. I wouldnt want em any louder but then Im an old fart

Thanks everyone. I am leaning towards the 4" Rineharts, but they're crazy expensive!

back to the original question:

Supertrap supermegs and the made for S/E nightstick and fatshots can be adjusted for about as quiet or loud as the rider wants.

I'm an old fart, too, and I still have the stock head pipes with the cat intact.

The 4" Jackpot's are a tad louder than stock, at idle, but have a very nice, deep rumble. Even WITH the cat, it can bark with a twist of the throttle. I like my setup just the way it is...

My 2 cents worth:

I have a set of 4" $600.00 Rineharts on my Street Glide and loved them until 2 months ago. Now they Rattle So Bad its embarrasing. I have tried numerous times to lock the baffles in, seal them and nothing works they still have a high pitched rattle sound. Rinehart customer service is of no help what so ever, they have done nothinig to remedy the issue. I am told they have a fix which is a screw that goes thrugh the muffler body into the baffle but I am not certain. I wouldnt waste your money. Go with a company that give a S _ _ _ _ about their cistomers.
Rinehart is not the Company they used to be!

Just my Humble Opinion.

Apart from the Fuel Moto Jackpot's, if you want performance AND sound, then take a look at the SuperTrapp SE Slip-ons (128-65117). They won't break your wallet and they have a flock of admirers. That said, for the money, you won't find a better looking/sounding/performing muffler than the Fuel Moto Jackpot mufflers - less $$$ than the SuperTrapp's and a great many believers here on HDForums.

I do not have any #'s, but I do have the 4" Rhineharts with the decatted head pipe. Sound is very nice, my riding friends state they are not loud, have good deep rumble. FYI

I just put on the 4" rineharts on mine with out cat. Nice deep sound quiets down at cruising speed. Still a little louder than I wanted this time around. Was actually going to leave stock on. Wish I could have heard the supertrapp stouts. Might have been in between these and stock.

Also, there is a bolt that goes through the muffler to the baffle. My 3.5" did not have it on my old bike. I don't know if thats a recent upgrade or what. And dont pay more than $499.00 delivered. Got mine at Eastern Performance. They did a price match.
