I used galvanized corner brackets to repair both my '06 supports. Drilled them similar to that kit thats being sold. Very solid repair that has held up so far and the first one was repaired about 2 seasons ago. I now have 34K on the bike with about 10k on the repaired bracket.

Yes it is and it's what I have done to my bike to prevent the problem in the first place. Those Ragans fab works brackets are the best out there, really precision made of superb quality out of stainless steel.

I've not had a broken bracket on my 2010 as yet...Knock on Wood. My fairing on my 96" doesn't seem to vibrate nearly as bad as my buddies on his 103??

Have heard either welding to reinforce them or aftermarket brackets are way to go. pretty common for these to break
