Default head pipe fitment accross different years

If I was to want O2 sensors for say a PC auto tuner would I, need to find a head pipe with O2 bungs or is there some way of installing in existing head pipes? If not, what other year head pipes would work?

headers changed at 2009 with the frame change.

any muffler shop can weld o2 bungs for you.

determine what size o2 sensor and check to ensure that the o2 sensor, once installed won't hit anything allowing room for the rubber mount motor to shake at idle

I have 08 pipes with sensor holes on my 1990 Glide. Dresser pipes for Evos, TC88s and TC96s up to 08 seem to be inter-changeable.

like mike above said...you can add o2 sensor bungs.

about a mounth ago i put a 2 into 1 from a 2010 on my 2008.

i plugged the 12mm o2 sensor bungs by the converter and added the 18mm bungs. once my old headpipe was off i marked on the new headpipe where the bungs where placed...the front pipe was kind of easy cuz it's pretty much straight forward...but the rear pipe is a lil tricky cuz my old pipe went behind the trans cover...the new one curves around the front of the trans cover and you don't want to put that new bung too low or you won't be able to install cuz the sensor will hit the transmission. put the 2 sets of pipes next to each other and you'll get the idea. if you look at the front bung you'll notice it's a 45 degree at the pipe. i found some o2 bungs on ebay. i used a curved seated bung on the rear pipe cuz it sits on the rounded surface of the pipe better then the flat seated surface.

the biggest thing that i needed was a new transmission mounting bracket pn#65678-09. under $5.00.

reason, the 08 and older pipe has a clamp that goes around the front pipe then has a bolt that connects to the trans bracket...

now with the 09 and newer, the rear pipe curving in front of the trans, you now have 2 pipes where only 1 used to be. the old clamp has been replaced w/a built-in bracket right on the headpipe which mates up w/the new trans bracket. w/out new trans bracket, they won't mate up.

i parked my scoot next to my buddy's 2010 and just looked it over till i figured out what needed to be done.

sounds like you want to do what i did? i too have the pcv w/at and was able to keep it.

good luck...let me know if i can help.
