No way!! way too many miles in this buyers market! there are a ton of deals out there to be had. That is a lot of miles and you dont know what kind of miles or how the bike was cared for. they all shine up in the showroom!!

Keep an eye on mileage vs age. If you have a well ridden bike, like for instance my last HD, you have one that has been well cared for. Lots of miles in a short time means a rider that takes care of his ride because he knows that he can avoid being left at the side of the road by taking good care of his bike.
On the other hand, a bike with fairly low miles and lots of age means a rider that really does not ride much except during fair weather. That person will not look at things in the same way at all. I would avoid that bike like the plague.
Real high miles per year riders are people who understand that their own enjoyment means taking good care of their rides. Those bikes are a good buy but low miles and high age bikes are not. The people who sell those have no idea what it means to neglect their bikes.
I traded a 2010 Electraglide Ultra with 26000 miles on it in November 2011 and you can bet that I took good care of it. Whoever got that bike had a quality ride. If I had kept an ultra from 2008 and only had 15000 miles on it, you can figure that I was a newbie with no idea how to care for a bike properly. That would have been a far inferior bike for the second owner.
Always compare the mileage to the duration and decide for yourself whether or not the bike had an enthusiast for a rider. If the person who owned it before you was likely to be someone who cared about failures because he used the thing constantly, it is probably going to be a reliable bike for you. If it has artificially low miles, avoid it. The prior owner probably did not ride much so he/she did not care much about reliability. At least that is how I see things.
Go ahead and correct me guys. I may have many misconceptions as a new person here.

I'd be eerie of it personally. Not saying it won't last longer but not knowing the bike would bother me since you don't know it's personality.
I have almost 55,000 on my 05 and I know how it has sound/ran since it had 28,000 miles so it doesn't worry me to take it on trips and I'm ready to ride it to 100,000 miles plus.
If it was a dealer/MoCo warranty I think I'd be more apt to jump on the deal than a 3rd party one.

Ask the previous owner how well the bike ran, everything looks good on the dealers floor when your horney for a ride !

To answer your question, nope.

Dealers are never to be trusted either, "assures" and "claim"..... lying right to your face, is my bet.

What else would they say? We never looked at it since the guy trailered it here?

Good luck though,

J
