Default Quick release straps for Helmets.

I recently purchased an Outlaw half helmet. I love this helmet except for the strap and D rings. It takes way to long to put this helmet on and take it off. The D rings have sharp edges and it's very hard to pull the strap through. I was wondering if anyone has purchased the quick release that can be added to any helmet. Before I cut the D rings off my new helmet and add the quick detach I was hoping I could get some feedback from someone that has done this. As one last possibility to fix the problem I'm going to try filing the D ring edges and see if that makes a difference. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks

Echo Quick Release works well for me, and you don't have to remove the d-rings also. Real easy to install on the helmet and I have not had a prob with mine.

No need to cut any strap with this quick release helmet clip;

I have them on my three helmets, my wife's and daughter's helmets too.

Hope this helps!

I use them as well. Able to use the snap as well on strap excess. Love mine

Quick releases work well, and you don't have to cut the strap, I'm just trying to figure out why there would be sharp edges on your D rings, never heard of that before.

I love the quick release too. It keep the same tightness of the strap all the time. I didn't remove the D rings, guess I didn't think about it !

I like the quick release. Faster and easier to secure the strap and no more issues with the excess strap coming out of the o-ring. I kept the D rings on and positioned them on the outside of the strap away from my neck. Perfect !!!!!

I think different people would feel the different way when there's strip on their lower jaw , some might find it very uncomfortable and actually feels the edge of the strip cutting in their skin . So , if you don't like it , just change another strip .

It doesn't take very long to thread and snap a helmet strap or unsnap and take it off. Somebody must be in a hell of a hurry about something. I don't get the sharp Dring issue either. There's nothing sharp about the Drings on my lids. As usual, I guess I am missin' something.
