Default Sorry another speaker question!!!

Ok what i have now is a 2011 street glide with rf pbr300x2 amp and j&m
7.25 speakers. it is loud but i want speakers that have great sound quality too. i have been looking for a while now and i think i have it narrowed down to focal, cdt, and hertz. let me know your opinions trying to stay on a budget around 250-300. plus dont know if i want coax or component, i know the components will sound better sitting still but i want it to be loud and sound great at 55 and up. thanks for your opinions.

Hertz, I also tried the J&M and they were loud and sounded terrible. I went with the Hertz and very pleased with the quality, you wont be disappointed.

Actually we have no way of knowing what sound you would prefer, that is entirely up to you. Listen to some other bike speakers and make your choice that way. Otherwise you'll wind up with speakers that someone else thought were the best, but maybe not you.

I just put Alpine 6 1/4" speakers with the adapter plate in my wifes Streetglide and they sound awesome. I also have the alpine amp to go along with it. Sound is very clear and distortion free. I went to the local Car audio store and they install systems in bikes all the time. Good luck with what ever you get.

Heard many good things about hertz, but I went a different route, Rockford fosgate with PUCNH speakers: fronts, lowers, rears and 6x9' in the lids. No yet installed, but will be in July when I get home, will post pics then. 8 speakers 600 watts.

Hertz, Focal, HAT, Boston Acoustics are all within your "range". I had a set of Hertz in my F150 and they were AMAZING. I sold them, now I wish I had them for my FLHX.

I have to agree 100% with floridapoolboy, sound can be very opinion oriented.

thanks for the info. i want the punchy bass and very clear highs. also i have a stupid question? is it possible to build some sort of enclosure around the back of the speaker? i have gone to several car audio stores and they sell the rf hertz focal etc. but there all in an enclosure and they sound great but they are enclosed so thats not realistic sound on a bike. i know space is very limited but figured i would throw it out there. also how do the jl audio 6.5 components sound?

I have the JL Audio marine grade coaxials in my fairing. They sound great with a JL Audio amp pushing them. I'm not sure if you can get their component speakers in a marine grade type. JL Audio makes good stuff.
