Default Proof my LRS 17" recurve King shield is working

Riding down the highway at 65mph on my FLHR when out of nowhere a bird is coming in fast at eye level. I thought "uh oh this won't be good", then as he got to the shield, whooosh the air stream off the LRS recurve takes him up and over my head. My bro who was riding next to me couldn't believe it. Thank you LRS!

I'm not sure if mine is working. I still get bugs in my face. Or maybe it's when I go above 70 mph, I'm going too fast for it to work?

Mythbusters did a show on something similar with convertible cars and rain.

You just aren't going fast enough.

I'm not sure that would be enough air for a turkey vulture. I've just about smacked a couple of those. No impacts yet though, thank goodness.

That's awesome! Glad you are ok and the shield works! : ) Not that we had any doubts! Can I repost that story on our facebook as a testimonial?

Holy crap yeah! Funny, I had one swoop down on me last year. I was on my Sporty...I about crapped a brick. It pulled up about 50' in front of me.

Did the person behind you with an LRS windshield have the brick you crapped fly safely over their head? Lol
