Yeah turkey vultures HURT!! I'm amazed that my shield folded over that far as it hit about 3 inches down. Smacked me in the thinker and went it went down and died in the middle of the road. Lucky I didn't dump the bike but it did knock my hat off and had to turn around and get it...

Last year a bird hit my shoulder at 60MPH and went straight into my ex's mouth. Needless to say I had a sore shoulder for a few days but when I saw her face I yacked everywhere. That thing exploded off my shoulder all over her face.

reading this thread I just had to share my latest bird experience. this past Friday, I had begun accelerating into the last straight stretch before I turn on the country road to my house. I was up to about 55 when a flock of buzzards came up out of the ditch on my right and before I could slow down fast enough, I was in the middle of about 7 of them going in the same direction as I was and trying to gain altitude. All I could do was duck on my RKC and thankfully they all got above me...I laughed my *** off the rest of the way home wondering what they were thinking...
