Are you happy with your Long Ride Road glide windshield, what size are you and the shield.

 

I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam and I have the LRS Phantom 9" dark tint windshield on my 2012 Road Glide Ultra. So far I'm well pleased with the windshield. I really love the way it looks on the bike. I must admit that I still get to feel plenty of wind while still being able to hear the radio. For me it does great, I don't mind the wind in the face as long as it doesn't beat me to death. As for the wife, she says that she still has to deal with quite abit of wind buffeting.

 

I'm running a 12" light tint Phantom. Less head buffeting than the stock RG shield. I'm 6'4". I ran a 8" Klockwerks for awhile like the look not much protection @ 8". I'm waiting for LRS to come out with a taller shield.

 

Only two of you have Long Rides

 

I have the 9" also. 6-2 with 34" inseam also. Happy with it. Although I would like to try a 10" phantom.

 

Hey, wolf1956 - That is one sweet-looking bike you got there. But tell me, did you change the handlebars or adjust the stock ones? I rode a Big Blue Pearl RGU and loved everything except the reach. I had to almost fully extend my arms to reach the grips(32-inch reach)

Thanks, I did change out my handlebars to 11" apes. Made it a lot more comfortable to ride.

 

I have a Long Ride, does that count? : ) lol PS if anyone is looking at one of our shields, our website unfortunately crashed. I think the hamsters running the host servers died. I had a special order 12" made up by James at LRS and the quality,service and price was great.

It worked better than the 8" KW or the stock shield. Im 6'3" with 34 " inseam and I got wind in the face but minimal buffeting. A very good shield for the $.

I changed to a Cee bailey TRSSC because I like the stepped look better on my bike and sold the LRS Phantom.

 

We'll also have some new shields coming out hopefully soon to add to the Phantom, not just taller ones. They're being tested as we speak
