Kinda hard after you crash!

 

I would not reuse a head gasket, not ever, not even if it looked new. Too much trouble to redo everything because of a leaking gasket. I'd much rather spend a little money and not have to do it twice. If you had no other choice, which could happen, then do what you have to. But if you can run down to the store and buy one, that is what I would do. I learned many years ago if you don't like to do something, if it is hard or time consuming or costs a lot then you make extra sure you do it right the first time, because you most certainly are not going to want to do it twice.

 

Shop 101; Gaskets are cheap. Buy new gaskets; Never re-use the old ones.

 

thanks for all the advice, it was all i needed to call in a new set. honestly, i didn't know what to do because I was getting advice to go in the direction of reusing. Thankful my friends at HD Shop were insiting on a new set. So , did the Cosmetic mfg company. DO not REuse!!!
